WHAT IS A TABLE?
Tables are data grouped into headers which are normally placed at the top of columns. Tables contain information such as
actual financials, projected financials, yearly, quarterly, monthly, percent of growth, percent of revenue, and many other
data fields. What makes tables unique is that they can be dragged around the file and placed in different locations and
all of the formulas will follow without breaking the links.

WHAT IS A CATEGORY?
Categories, or dimensions as they are also called, are list of similar items. They can be used to create lists, or act as
the sides of tables.

WHAT ARE PREDEFINED CATEGORIES?
The predefined categories provide certain built in capabilities beyond the basic categories, to support various functions.
- “Calendar Category” supports the types of calendar operations common for business uses. This includes automatically summing
revenue like data from months to quarters to years, and automatically copying asset like data from the last month to the
quarter, and the last quarter to the year.
- “Account Category” provides asset, liability, revenue, and expense accounts which automatically know how to properly perform
certain operations.
- “Budgeting Category”, provides support for doing budgets and forecasts, by automatically copying over actual numbers into
the proper place in the forecasts, budgets, and projections.

TABULUS® offers unique advantages when dealing with structured data such as tables.
For those tasks, we recommend TABULUS®. TABULUS®

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO CREATE A SIMPLE TABULUS® DOCUMENT?
Creating a simple TABULUS® document will in most cases be faster than your traditional
software. With TABULUS® fewer formulas need to be written so at this point is where
the real time savings come into play. When working with larger data files that need to be updated and used to create reports
the time saving will be increased exponentially. (Please keep in mind like with all software there is a learning curve and
