If I were to suggest one area to polish from a UI standpoint, it would be drag and drop. The feedback is a bit fussy (the drop zones seem really small, just a few pixels wide sometimes). Also, when you drag something like a group or category, it seems I get different results depending on whether or not the item is "expanded". Sometimes I don't get a drop zone at all.

Most of all, it often doesn't produce the results I expect. For example, I'm trying to group sales results by geographic region. I have a bunch of dealers in different countries that I want to group geographically. I would expect that grabbing an account and dropping it on a group would add that account to the group, but it doesn't. Instead it indents the entire group below the account in the hierarchy. Not useful for me...but maybe I don't understand the concepts involved.

Thank you for this very important question. It makes us rethink some of our UI designs.
Actually the drop zones are drop hints. The real zones are wider so you can drop not only over drop hint. However we can do them wider if it will help. Missing drop zones and expand state dependant drop behavior are bugs.

The second problem is related to the possibility to drop item before or after other item in the row headers. Now our before and after drop zones
are too wide and the user cannot see the most common feature - to drop over the item. We can resolve it with narrowing
before and after drop zones and extend the drop over zone. In that case it will be very easy to find the proper
behavior for dropping. In most of the cases dropping of item before or after other item from the same category
is unwanted because of eclipsing. So another idea is to show info message is such cases (with option to hide it in the future).
