1. Formatting.

Our application formatting is Theme based rather than individual header/cell style based. The difference between our application and other spreadsheet applications is that our headers are typed and represent model items as table; account item; running total; group trailers; etc. Once you set the formatting for a specific type of column or row all other headers of the same type looks the same. This helps to make more readable reports and switching between custom or predefined themes you can change the whole appearance of your report. In order to achieve some customization of headers we have a predefined number of highlights - highlight 1 and highlight 2. In your case you can use one of these highlights to edit the formatting of the row. Here are the steps to do it:

1. Click on the row (in your case 'Variance') and change the highlight

2. After that you can show the format properties using the context menu or with the F3 key and edit the format. Be aware that this will change the appearance of all other row items which have this same type and highlight.

Notes:

In many of our predefined themes the different highlights for headers may differ in terms of color, font, font size, and other properties. If you want to make a highlight format that looks exactly like the default highlight you can go into the theme editor and clone any format by drag and drop.

Now the highlight 1 for row item will be exactly the same as the default highlight for this header type. All you need now is to change the top border of the format:

Select the top border from the bottom preview and choose the border thickness and color.

Be sure that the Span borders property of the theme is set to Rows or Both if you want to span the thick border across the cells:

See the attached file for the final result.
