Solution: You need to set data format using the Table properties. Right click on the “Table” you want to edit in the Tables Browser or within a worksheet and click on Properties… Table in Table Browser Table within a worksheet Properties... On the Table Properties dialog set the “Default Data Format”. Now when the Table is inserted into a worksheet the set data format will be used by default.
